About Us

We are a volunteer-run registered charity based at St Luke’s Community Centre, Canning Town. Founded in 1991, we’ve spent 35 years keeping the cultural heartbeat of the Acholi people alive in the UK — through dance, language, celebration and mutual support.

What we do

Leb Lwo Language Classes

Lwo language classes for children and adults, connecting the diaspora’s children to their grandparents’ homeland

Traditional dance rehearsals

The full Acholi repertoire – Bwola, Larakaraka, Dingidingi, Otole, Lakubukubu, Orak, Apiti and more.

Youth dance training

Dedicated youth sessions passing performance skills to the next generation, building confidence, identity and pride.
